all these errors are doing my head in. its taking ages to load anything and 75% of the time these cgi errors come up . its frustrating and really spoiling my enjoyment of this site. cant anything be done to rectify these problems

You're not alone. It's doing my head in as well. All I can do is get Jason to have a word with the techies at Transworld.

I got fed up with it and have bookmarked the IP mirror index address which at least connects you eventually without the CGI rubbish coming up - click on the link and then bookmarkit as TPforum wonky index or summat and use that when the 'proper' addy is having a strop :wink:

I've reported it to Transworld. I'll let you know when we get a response.

If using the IP address fixes the problem it looks like it might be a DNS issue.

I've had some feedback from Transworld.

Apparently the server that we live on here is running near to capacity. Transworld are in the process of sorting a replacement server but the time scale is likely to be a couple of months.

Short term there is very little that can be done - so please bear with us for the time being. Things should get better soon(ish).

Seriously I've just had a similar prob with my own site and once you get transferred to a super-duper new server it'll all be worth it - some things just can't be hurried

Seems like it. Sometimes it's very slow loading a page and gets timed out and sometimes it just won't open at all.
