Thank you all for the great suggestions. Although it's not Discworld related I was wondering about a bad pune (or play on words) as a name: "Plan C"
Is that idea as bad as I suspect?

Plan C? Seems like as good a name as any suggested here. Excuse me for being stupid, but I don't get the pune. Is it C=sea? Or altogether it spells "planc" as in "walk the plank", or is it some recent catchphrase that living in Japan I don't get?

If your theory works, he should call it something like "World Peace", or "No contra-flows on a bank holiday", or "Please God let me win the lottery so I can buy a bigger and better boat"

Thanks for the warning Tiffany! A couple of friends have suggested "Summer Lightning" as I'm known to be partial to the odd drop of that ale, so maybe I should strike that from the shortlist.

Um, I thought you were a hardened Atheist, therefore you don't believe in God, therefore you won't win (I'm trying to make sense today, but it isn't working!) - perhaps you can ask Darwin to help you win the lottery?

Plan C hmm, as Tiff said, it's your boat call it what you will. I'd call a boat Miss Piggy, as in Piggy Bank as I plan to be off shore a lot and try not to run in to any banks along the way... :shock:

it made sense in my head anyway.

Totally unrelated to DW, but I've always liked "Getafix" as a name for a boat. Never seen it on the high seas, though. Feel free as I'm many years and £s away from a proper yacht.
