(Isn't that a TP novel? The third quack? Sounds like it ought to be) 8)
Great idea - starring the Duck Man and the Canting Crew solving a mystery with Gaspode as their seeing-brain dog.

Nice one Bogieman and an insightful choice of subject pooh! :P

OK not great but it has Gaspode in it

There’s a ‘nice’ little doggie called Gaspode,
Whose words of wit and of wisdom have flowed
Like Ramtops rivers in flood,
More than slow sticky Ankh mud,
Leading the Canting Crew out on the road.

The colour of magic

This is the colour, you see in a dream
It’s not as quite common, as it may seem
It’s only there, when a wizard does sleep
When in to the darkness, the old mind does creep
It comes through a knowledge, within second sight
Onward you go, travelling deep in the light
Like a tunnel emanating, from within your head
This may be the feeling, you get when you’re dead
The sensation within, that will drive you just wild
Like the very first baby, that lovingly smiled
But, as you awake from the dream, it seems so afar
Like the glow of the light, from an old dying star
Now as you awake, the colour does pass
Like watching the sunrise, through a prism of glass

I love poetry and have one published, unfortunately I could not fit Terry Pratchett in it but it has Tolkien's world mentioned, and I think CS Lewis. I will try to write one for Pratchett's world, or one for his condition (sensitive of course.)

Oh for a message by Klacks
From the revered Granny Weatherwax
Or even to see her lying in bed
with the message 'I aitn't dead'
May be to get inside her mind
to see that she really is kind
I wish I could get a message by klacks
from the revered Weatherwax!

H'mm that is all I can do for the present. Less than five minutes!

Very good! Although I don't know that I'd want to get inside Granny's mind - she might get annoyed about it.

If you were to enter in to somebody’s mind
There is no limit to what you could find
Monsters peering from out of the dark
Strange little dogs who play in a park
Angels that are soaring up in the sky
Worms in the soil that don’t have an eye
Visions of people who once were a friend
Strange apparitions of which there’s no end
Be careful if this is a friend that you know
There is a place that even you should not go
As somewhere inside you are already there
There feelings about you show how they care
All of your life you’ve considered them a mate
This could be where there true feelings do state
So as your exploring please don’t go too far
Have some respect and know where you are

pTerry's Favorite Limerick

Postby Beti » Tue May 06, 2014 1:47 am

Hi,

Asking for an acquaintance. Does any one recall an interview with pTerry in which he mentions a favorite limerick? We've both Googled but can't find the reference.

From the requester: "The conceit was that a man and a woman go off for some alone time and the narrator didn't get to watch. I think it ends something like "And I didn't see what came after."

I've had no luck finding the poem, mostly because I can't remember any lines from it or any exact phrases on the page where I read it, but also because of Limerick and people talking about their hopes for a visit etc.

Is this ringing any bells with anyone?"

Thanks for any help you fine people might be able to offer.
