I'm not but I thought I'd post the trailer and review for the new CGI animated Warhammer film called Ultramarines.

I used to enjoy painting the figures, but never actually played the games. :D

similar situation here- for me the arty part of it is FAR more important than the tactics. :D

Bookmarked. I'll tell my son, although maybe he knows already. He's very into Warhammer at the moment, and Dungeons and Dragons, and I got him a Wow subscription for Christmas, so I'm never going to see him again, am I? :(
In the beginning there was nothing, and then it exploded.

I used to be really into 40K when it was in the third edition (having started with the tail end of rogue trader). Now I am mainly into the painting side of the hobby, but the trailer certainly looks good.

That goes ditto for me as well, love painting the figures but I paint the discworld minatures now.

I have a ton of minatures packed away in boxes. I too was more of a painter than a player, even won a couple of local painting competitions :)

My armies include,

Space Marines - Black Templars
Space Wolves
Sisters of Battle/Witch Hunters.

Lizzard Men
And of course it goes without saying..... Skaven :)

I watched the Ultramarines movies a couple of weeks ago. I think you have to be an absolute fanboy to like it as it was total tosh.
I have to admit though that everytime there was a close up of the the bolt guns or armour details I'd be thinking of how to paint it

I wasn't disappointed when I watched it but that was just because I didn't expect it to be great in the first case.(I saw trailers) My brother and I watched it more as a comedy. With him pointing out to me all the things that where wrong  .Sadly, overall I was it was a pretty boring movie in my opinion.

I was an Eavy metal painter back in the day, loved to play Necromunda the most as it involved the least amount of work painting for myself, lol. Ill checkout the trailer thanks :]

wow, cool job! I am selling my two warhammer armies and lots of scenery. I realized I had spent too much on it already but unfortunately no one buys warhammer on ebay. My army isn't brilliantly painted, to be honest but it will suffice. Anyone interested, just pm me for more details.
