Thought I'd start a different thread for plane or other hobbies photo's. I hope other forum members will add to it as well.

Some of OH's planes.

My main hooby was horse riding..... but unfortuantly the horse and I parted ways and I stuffed my back up...... so now my outdoor hobby is sailing model boats and indoors is cross stitch..... much safer!

Hi Tiff, OH has some fine models there! Here's a few of mine
This flies like a dream and is very agile on the slopes.
Image
This one became a bit too fast for me so I sold it to a younger man. :)
Image
This doesn't get out very often but looks great on calm summer days.
Image
And my lovely Extra Slim Fun Fly (RIP) was victim to a radio glitch.
Image
Another hobby is amateur radio. I'm secretary of Hilderstone Radio & Electronics Club and maintain their website www.g0hrs.org.uk.
This is my fairly modest equipment.
Image
I've always been interested in the weather and last year Mrs SW gave me a weather station for my birthday. It's now online www.users.waitrose.com/~g4mix/weather and here's the bit outdoors.
Image
I think that's more than enough for now. It's just so good to be able to have time to indulge in all these hobbies now I'm retired.
I think the answer lies in the soil, ooo arrr!

Very nice planes there Straw Walker. What's the plane in the RAF training colours? I thought it was a DH Chipmunk for a moment, but of course it's not - been years since I saw a chipmunk.

It's an early Piper Cub. I understand that the Army Air Corps used one or two of them as spotter aircraft but I don't think this colour scheme is right.

Super planes Straw Walker. Shame you couldn't rebuild the Extra Slim Fun Fly. :( I had an Uncle who was a radio ham, many years ago.

I stopped due to ill health too, sgt-Angua, by the time it was sorted I hadn't ridden for such a long time, so I never rode again. By then my friends horse, whom I used to ride, had been retired anyway, due to arthritus.
Here he is.

They are links, not image codes - I put one into my browser & they worked fine!

Beautiful cross stitch by the way! :D
What's up with this glass? Excuse me? Excuse me? This is my glass? I don't think so. My glass was full! And it was a bigger glass!
