What should I buy?

I have (amazingly) 1,000 pounds to invest in Discworld memorabilia.

Because the yen is ridiculously strong against the pound, all my purchases would work out at only 60% of selling price.

Assume I have only all the discworld novels (no cookbooks, diaries etc) in paperback.

What should I buy?

BTW If anyone has any interesting stuff to sell, please send me a pm and I'll consider it.

That's a tough one as things are only worth something if someone else is prepared to pay for it.

The stamps for example may be changing hands for crazy prices at the moment - a Blue Triangle 'sport' went for £1,250 on eBay last month. But how long will that continue? Already a lot of people have sold their collections and given up on the collecting. With no collectors the market becomes worthless.

I'd say early first editions in pristine condition are the way to go. First editions of the rarer Pratchetts are always likely to command a high price because people will always collect first editions. And not just Pratchett fans either.

I like the look of the signed first editions (not the new ones) which TP has also written a message in. I also want to buy things I haven't read.

I agree with Tony, buy old, good condition, hardback, first edition Terry Pratchett books, personally signed, with a message by him, but avoid any that have the recipiants name in them, unless it's the same as yours.
That goes for any first edition book really.
Do get the maps as well if you haven't got them. I think they are amazing.

I'd suggest the diaries as there all sorts of things covered in them that are not in the books.

Then I'd go on a spending spree at this place and let poor Rob try and ship them across the world
