Can anyone recommend a good Cromwell biography?

I'm actually a bit serious on this one. The English Civil War is really the only period of British history I've never read about. Can anyone recommend a very good, thick, juicy but accurate recently written history of Cromwell and the whole period? Something as good as Alison Weir's histories of the Tudors?

The short answer is no, I haven't read anything about the period since school.

However there is a review here of 3 relatively recent books on the civil war

and this seems to be the most recent (by the man who reviewed the other 3)

If you do find a good book on the period let us know
