Not to mention that David Jason was more likely to pull in a wider audience of non-Discworld fans than an unknown (or lesser) actor, even if that actor fitted our concept of what Rincwind should look and behave like. Unfortunately WWD is right. When it comes to film and TV, money and ratings count far more than accuracy and fan's opinions (in whatever genre, the book is nearly always better).

does anyone know a date on when going postal will be on sky1?
its annoying me that its just says delivered soon, i really cant wait to see it.

I saw the first trailer with a date to day,its confirmed as the 30th of march but it did not give a time.
Proof that L-Space exists in this universe

Fact 1:Heavier things distort time and space more
Fact 2:A page with ink on it is heavier than an unprinted page
Conclusion:A book distorts time and space more than blank papers

Don't forget that Part 1 of Going Postal will be on today Sunday at 6pm and part two will be on at 6pm on Monday.

I really enjoyed Going Postal tonight I throught it was absolutley brilliant, a few changes from the book but who cares. :D :mrgreen:
