I've just got new guineas! Named Greebo and Schleppel (sorry I cant spell)

I like Cavies, Aichtay. I love the way they chirrup at people, as if they are talking to you. :D

you can eat guinea pigs the peruvians breed them for food, you could fatten them up for christmas :lol: :lol:

That is truly awful, I think mums dog would really like to eat them, although greebos getting rather angry at the mo, think she might maul him if he tried

Any chance of posting photos of your guinea pigs aichtay? We used to have them as pets when we were kids. :)

Unfortunately what Chris says is true - they do eat them in South America in much the same way that we might eat rabbits here (not me, I'm veggie).

There was a TV series many years ago called Great Railway Journeys where the presenter stopped at a cafe in the Peruvian Alps and there were guinea pigs running around the floor for customers to pick which one they wanted to eat. :shock:

Until recently I had a couple of guineas, they are charming little critters.

Good! People are always saying I should eat my rabbits. Hilarious they are. :roll:

Although sometimes when I kiss them goodnight they seem pretty tasty :lol:

Although I imagine in the Navy hedgehog was pretty hard to come by.

wierdest thing i ever cooked was a penguin in south georgia(fishy chicken), when i was on an expedition with some royal marines :lol:
