Happy new year everybody.

I'm sober too.

At the moment at end of our road is about half a dozen fire engines and a large inflatable tent.

I took the dogs for a walk and just as I got near home I got stopped by a uniformed lady asking why I was walking in the danger zone. She also asked who gave me permission to be there. I said which way I had walked and then she realised that they had not covered all exits and entrances to the road. I still don't know what is going on in the next street and I hope that it is nothing too serious!

OK found out more about what happened last night. Apparently a garage caught fire behind some houses and it contained a gas cylinder. A 200m exclusion zone was set up so all the people in the next street had to find somewhere else to spend the night. This has been brought down to a 50m exclusion zone now.

You still cannot travel down the road because the fire brigade have to wait for 24 hours before they can move the cylinder.

Hopefully the displaced people will be able to go home tonight.

It's been fun all the speculation etc in the road today.
