My theory is the universe is screwed up because of belly button fluff.

why is it always blue? why do girls not get pink fluff? and also why does it gather in the first place? how does it get in there when it's covered all the time? why is it you only ever notice it's there when you're in the bath or down the pub?

It's these fundamental unanswered questions that lead me to believe that the gathering of this strange fluff based life form is destroying the universe and getting me accused of being obsessed with something no-one likes or finds interesting

Here's my theory. Time Paradoxes dont exist, because the nature of reality gently nudges history back into place. Much in the way terry says that killing one dictator doesnt change history; it will happen just the same, just with a different name. Here's an example.
For people who dont understand what im going to be wittering about, heres a short description of the 6th Artemis Fowl book.

Mrs.Fowl is deathly sick. Artemis Fowl and his fairy friend Holly Short go back in time in their underwear to bring back an extinct lemur to use the brain fluid to save his mum. They accidentally bring back an old enemy whos an evil fairy. She exits the time stream earlier so she appears before they go back in time in the first place. It turns out the cause of the illness is the evil fairy, Opal Koboi possessing Mrs.Fowl and recreating the symptoms.
But if she was the cause, how did she get there in the first place without her first being sick so that they could go back in time to bring her back?
And they also bring young Artemis back to help, then wipe his mind. But he still remembers a bit about fairies, which is the only reason that he started exploiting them in the first book anyway.

Eg.
My theory is that Artemis would have found the fairies anyway and the bit where he thinks "fairies...." is just to confuse you.
The bit about the disease: She would have gotten sick anyway; (it was a fairy disease that humans dont get) from Holly. I reckon that holly was a carrier of the disease, but it didn't affect Artemis, because he got it off a fairy. When he used magic on his mother, however, it was human to human, so his mum was affected. Then, Opal came and messed it up. When she was chased out of Mrs.Fowl, she must have accidentally cured her.

If your wondering why Artemis' dad wasnt affected by the disease when artemis used magic on him too, the answer is: Fairies are sexist.
