Greetings from Norway

Postby WannabeAngua » Mon Dec 15, 2008 12:24 pm

Hi everybody.
I'm WannabeAngua (let's be honest, who wouldn't??) and I live in a small town just outside the capital of Norway, Oslo.
Been a fan for at least 15 years, but I have never been to an event or belonged to any Discworld fora before.
I am looking forward to spending some time in this forum and I hope there's lots of action going on :)

Hi there WannabeAngua :) My hero's Gaspode and I cannot wait for the day when Angua finally sees the light and dumps boring stodgy Carrot and realises that Gaspode's much better for her in every way (except possibly as breeding stock... :?: )

Hehe, you're right...that would be a.....shall we call it interesting mix of genes :D
I personally thin Carrot is a bit of a bore, I'm more of a Vimes fancier myself  (fancier - is that even a word?)

Hi there! Welcome to the site.

I have to say that I'm much more a fan of Angua than Carrot. Her character is far more developed and, have you noticed that she is one of the few characters that Terry writes from her point of view?

Vimes being another notable one. :)

Thank you everybody for the warm welcome.
I am really glad I found this site as non of my friends or family get why I'm always on about the diskworld books... Their loss of course, but a bil lonely I must admit.
Feels great to be amongst fellow Pratchettnerds :D

Hi WannabeAngua! I'm not a Pratchettnerd. I'm a Pratchettgeek. There's a subtle difference, involving a love of scifi and a lack of anorak :D
What's up with this glass? Excuse me? Excuse me? This is my glass? I don't think so. My glass was full! And it was a bigger glass!

Yeah. We just need an Icelandic for a full set.
