I haven't, although there are always Thud tournaments going on at Wincanton events and always someone to show you how to play it. I don't much care for games so I've never bothered to learn, but some people love it.

There used to be a Thud section on the Cunning Artificer (Discworld Stamps) site, but it was so popular they started their own site. Thudgame.com :)

I have Thud, Played it once, but couldn't really get my head round it. Just finished re-reading the book, though.

Cheers, Vena

Blimey. Didn't know there was a game.

Thud not one of my favourite books in the series, I have to say.

I agree with you, had no idea there was such a game & Thud is not one of my favourites either.
Best wishes,

I have tried Thud and failed, although this was after my friend had attempted to explain Cripple Mr Onion to me, so my brain wasn't at it's best

Discworld Emporium sell it but it seems more like a game of Fox and Geese or Hnafltafl (?) ... am I right? I already have those two games so I can just adapt them.

Welcome to the site, samfool. :D

I'm a bit like Sam Vimes when it comes to games. I'm really not interested.

For those of you going to the convention this year - there will probably be games of Thud going on there and people willing to show you how to play it.
