any animators around?

Postby Cheery » Sat Jan 23, 2010 9:46 am

Hi again!
I was just wondering if there are any professional animators who are also on this forum because I'd like to get a little insight to the job. I'm planning to go to an animation school after my apprenticeship (already busy learning).
I've tried to get information in a number of places, but I never really had a clear insight and I'd like to ask someone who works as an animator.
Can someone help me?

Thanks in advance :D

EDIT: If you're interested: I've done some very easy stuff with jumpy balls already

I'm teaching myself a bit of animation, too. Does anyone have some advice on a book or something?

I know very little about animation but you should pay a visit to www.fayewilson.com. She's an Australian Artist I know and her illustrations are well worth looking at.

There's a forum I belong to at: http://www.cgsociety.org/

It's about computer generated images & animation.

Some really fantastic images in this thread:

There's a lot of information about 3D graphics & animation programs like Zbrush, Blender, Maya, etc..

This is where I found Eoin (the guy who made the great Cohen image).
