I was actually thinking about THIS version. Mind that the video is rather accidental, so please DO NOT pay any attention.

It actually sounds quite Hendrixian and therefore is not really for me. Good effort though. :)

I have decided not to be an old fart today and have posted something that’s bang up to date. Always liked THIS band.

On the other hand I have never liked U2 but I’m madly, deeply head over heels in love with THIS Lady

May I introduce to you to the future Mrs Postlethwaite 8)

Great band, Muse. I respect them a lot for not going into any of that 'rock star' nonsense, they just play fantastic music. As for U2 I loved them all the way to Pop and after that they run out of any original ideas.

So, what about some Radiohead?

Not too sure about Radiohead they seemed to get a cult following a bit too soon almost as if it was manufactured by the record company or am I just a cynical old git.

Another track from this decade featuring the Kings of Leon I’d never buy a CD of theirs but I do like this track.

I think Mariah Carey ought to look to her laurels in the upper registers - that Beaker certainly kicks glass!

Have you ever heard of Gotthard?

Here's another one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XafGVomdWp8
Very Sin City.

I just love the band. their songs tend to hang in my head for ages, but I don't mind them because they're so good.

many years ago Shelter the homeless charity put out several versions of Gimme Shelter as a charity single and it included the worst rendition ever by Hawkwind and Sam Fox, it is truly awful but don't take my word for it have a listen.

Janet thank you, that was fantastic. What a song, what a singer.

I've just posted this (below) in the Gigs thread, then spotted this thread - no apologies for double - posting the genius of the late John Wright, a wonderful interpreter of songs. This song is Dougie McLean's Down Too Deep.
