Had an odd conversation with one of my staff today, she wants to book her holidays and said she will avoid when I was off in August. I however had completely forgotten I was away in August
One of those? Oh I'm sure I have one somewhere..

Just received from the Convention comms team

Simon Fraser wrote:We are pleased to announce Daniel Knight, of Snowgum Films, will be
joining us as a Guest at the Convention.

Snowgum Films have been busily at work on creating Troll Bridge for
the silver screen. They brought some teasers and behind the scenes
footage to the previous Convention, but a little birdie tells us they
might be looking for an audience for a test screening some time around
August...
keep your eyes peeled for further updates.

This bears out news Snowgum have been giving out so it looks like we'll have a world premiere!

Their current schedule sees the final cut finished by July 22... so assuming they keep to schedule, all will be fine by the 8th of August (but Daniel will probably be bald, or if not, grey, due to the stress). As much hope as I'm holding out, I suspect we may not get a /final/ final cut at the Con, but an almost-complete one with some last minute tweaks happening after the Con.

And Who's Wee Dug is correct - if you haven't backed the film, you won't be eligible to get a copy of a DVD/BluRay at all. They are not allowed to sell copies as this was part of the agreement with Terry when the whole thing started.

If you want to get in on the very late bandwagon, check this link: http://www.snowgumfilms.com/trollbridge/backing/

Hot off the Convention newsletter - the Secret Watchman's Ball Gala Dinner! :orcs-cheers:

It's hard to find the price so I'll tell you it's £45 a head but the menu looks quite varied so hopefully an improvement on the Hilton's efforts although still not great for vegetarians (but 2 out of 3 starters are veggie friendly so they're trying a little). This time they're not having a top table and the Guests will be spread out on some of the tables (not all).

However, as usual they're letting us specify who we sit with sooooo - who wants to meet the housemate?!!!!!! :shifty: He's coming as my 'carer' disguised as the farmhand cousin of the Oggs (Emmet) so he can get away with wearing check shirts and some straw behind his ear most of the time... Seriously - I don't care whether I sit with a guest but it's always fun to get a table with whoever's showing up from the forum this year, especially if you're helping with the Strangely Fascinating event? :D
