Another competition coming up next week. This time it is an open competition with a set subject, "Songs and Bands". Basically, the picture must depict the name of a song or group so here are my efforts;

The Fairground Attraction

Blue

Ghost Town

The giant spinning top is superb, he woman in front appears to have been revealed by its motion, which adds to the composition. Did you stick a big filter on the front of the camera and stop down the aperture to get that? How long is that exposure please?

Like the other two as well.

Thanks all.

Knight; I stuck a Neutral Density filter and stopped down the exposure to 1.6 seconds. I didn't expect for the woman to walk in front but I think she definitely adds to the pic (imo). :D

Just got in from the competition and while I didn't win I did score pretty respectably;

Blue = 18/20
Fairground Attraction and Ghost Town both scored 19/20. :D

(The judge didn't see the woman in front of the 'top', btw. :roll: :lol: )

The fairground ride is amazing, Penners. I thought it was a spinning top then looked again. Brilliant! :clap:

A bit late but Ghost Town is my favourite, glad it got a high mark. I forget what she calls but it reminds me of smell-o-vision, you know, what Angua describes when she's a werewolf.

:D I wouldn't be able to resist a shop called 'Bloomers'.

Great scores! I love these. I think the first one is my favorite, but it's so hard to choose.

How do you spell the noise a "raspberry" makes?
I like that chap at the keyboard. I keep thinking he's got a long gown on, then it resolves into a hi-vis vest. How about "You hum it, I'll play it"
