Love the snowflakes Bouncy, and that skyline makes for an interesting sunset Dug.

Nice images Penfold, I can see the benefit of the new camera in the first one - those trees really pop out. The steps picture is my favorite one. To answer your question, yes, that's the Orion Nebula, the nearest region of active star formation to us. Our solar system would have been born in a similar cloud about 4.6 billion years ago.

I'm not 100% convinced the couple are sleeping, looks more like a state of despair to me - probably at being pestered by a photographer. Have you been following them around? ;)

Absolutely not! The fellow did wake up just as I was closing in for a close up though and I had to change direction quickly to photograph something else. :lol:

Penners, super photos! I would have kept on with the close up, :D and told him there was a l'esser spotted something or another' just behind him. All with a straight face of course! :mrgreen:
