Argh! Britain is going to be full of Discworld fans going round in circle come the summer :? Aided no doubt by that well-known phenomenon..........the signs to the place you want disappear just before the turning you need. It never fails to prompt gales of cheerful laughter as the driver gnaws a chunk out of the steering wheel.......

I could make you laugh telling you about the time that happened to us in the middle of Birmingham, while towing a caravan.. :x After 30 minutes - which included going north up the M6 when we were heading south to Devon - we ended up at the original roundabout and took the same wrong exit... I made him pull into a works entrance and turn round.

Yay, Con.

Seriously, that's great news!

That's great :D I hope you get lots more laughs and insightful moments from that book.

Great news, Con.

Big cheers for holidays and equine achievements.

Thanks everyone!

I expected to get little jobs which might take a few hours. These jobs which take days or weeks are very nice though! :)

I had mentioned in the headline topic (i think) some time ago about Michael Morones who's 11 who tried to hang himself after being bullied. After that happened a bunch of fans set up a fund which raised over $70k US to help pay for expenses (and more from other such events). Michael himself is slowly recovering. He's awake, getting movement back, thought it's clear there was some damage, but they don't know the extent of it. But he's getting better.

the parents set up a foundation to take what extra money that doesn't go for expenses to help other kids with issues with bullies. And it was just announced there would be a fundraising event in New York called Broadway Battles Bullying with the intent on getting performers to sing at the event. So far they only have one guest confirmed, Sir Ian McKellen. Not sure how he heard about all this but that he would take the time to help out is wonderful.

That's the bullied Brony, right? I remember you mentioning him. Good to see he's regained something of his faculties. And Ian McKellen is going to the event? Yowza.

Anyway, relatively minor thing in comparison. Got a couple of Blu-Rays for a cheap price: 300 and Sin City.

This made me smile, though I suppose it should be in the Cats thread.
