Pass Help

Postby Hunter » Sun Mar 09, 2014 9:46 pm

Hi. I kinda need help with my login. The website doesn't save my password and everytime I visit I have to login again. My browser's password saving feature is on, and I check the box where I login to this site that says Remember etc. But it's not working.
The first time I logged in the browser offer to save the password and I failed to click on it (saw it too late) and now it never pops up anymore and I'm left with this situation.
Any help, any one?

What browser are you using? I know little or nothing, but I believe most of them let you change Preferences or something like that.

Google Chrome. I tried the preferences, too. There was an option box and I checked it, but no change. It's really becoming unnerving.

It happens occasionally. I get times when I have to keep on signing in, and then it eventually gets the message. I have no idea why.

So it's a regular thing on this site. Because I just deleted all of my computer's cookies and browser's form data and all of cache info. still not working. Must be a glitch in phpBB programming.
Thanks everyone that was very helpful, (or at least relieving to know I'm not alone here :D)

Don't panic too much about it Hunter.

On one of my browsers (at home), I ALWAYS have to enter my username and password, every time I visit this site.
At work, using exactly the same browser (Firefox) on the same system (Windows 7) it remembers my log in more often than not.

So it's possibly to do with either browser settings or the settings in one of your browser extensions, rather than the site itself.

I'd just save the username/password in the browser's Security Key extension (whatever you choose to use) and that way it's easier to re-fill it in than having to type every time. Make sure you use a unique password for this website in this case! (Using a unique password for /every/ website is recommended)
