Really? Better watch what I say then incase he comes over Loughor bridge and gives me a hidin'! :D Not many welshies on here tho are there, we're a bit sparse! Out of interest, which country in the world has the biggest concentration of Sir pratchetts fans, according to members of the forum here then Tony? I know I could look at your map, but maybe not all the members are shown on there yet?

It's not so simple as that. This site used to be the official British site for Transworld, Terry's British publisher. Harper Collins, the US publisher had a separate site that amalgamated with this one. There seem to be Pratchett fans all over the world, but I'd guess that his biggest fan base is in the UK. :)

Ah Hendy, your as good as one of us now then! Incidently, do you know why we get called Turks? Stories around the town say sometime in the past (couple of hundred years ago) "hatchett men" used to hide up pembrey mountain and light beacon fires that coud be seen from the sea, unsuspecting ships would then think they are way away from land when actually they were right upon it, and the would run aground on cefn sidan beach. They were mostly turkish ships, and the hatchett men would come down and pillage the striken ships then, kill most of the crew, cut fingers off to get their rings etc, well you get the picture! Not pleasant, but thats why we get called Turks!

Is that true? I prefer the treasure-laden turkish ships story tho, has bit of a "Goonies" feel to it! :)
