That had to be frustrating!

No trains.

HAD to get to work (according to boss, who has 2 days off).

2 buses, via the badlands of Catford and Lewisham.

At half term.

Guess how I feel today? ;)

Oh dear, Storms must be pretty darn rough if the trains won't run  What are the "Badlands"? {{HUGS}} You puir thing.

   Our trains don't run if there is a leaf on the tracks!   And I won't even get started on what happens should a snowflake land anywhere nearby. ;)

Not to mention it's the wrong type of rain, snow etc any excuse to cover up the incompetence of the various train companies.

Plus, I had to get a taxi home, since there were still no trains, and that cost forty quid.

Frustrating indeed.

I'm not relevant enough to claim expenses.

The answer would be - the buses were running.

Thanks guys.

I was wary about getting the 2 buses I got on the way there, but the return journey, I had no idea at all where I needed to get off to change buses, and where the correct stop was, so I decided to taxi it.

Ugh. That really stinks! I would still ask about getting reimbursed. You never know!

Rest? What is this word; I do not think I know what it means!!??

Thanks for the vibes & hugs - needed and appreciated.

How I feel today, however, is thoughtful. Social Welfare ran out today...and I got a new job that starts on Friday, a year to the day that I was made redundant from a job I had for 12 years. Temp contract, but it'll get me through Christmas at least! Makes you wonder; does everything actually happen for a reason?

Hope Mr WW's throat gets better!

Seems a bit better, he's back at work today. Stubborn so and so, I think he could do with another day off.Which would make 4 over the last 40 years.
Good luck with the job Maze, hope it leads to something permanent.

Best of luck with the new job Maze and hope hubby is feeling more chipper WW :D

I'm feeling knackered because I've been running around (well running around for me  ) packing my bag to go to the Irish Con on the night ferry from Milford Haven. The housemate's going with me and he's a v. poor sailor - even for the 5 hour crossing so not looking forward to it even though we'll be a cabin the whole way  Still at least it means I get chauffeured everywhere once we set off

Trying not to spend too much money on silly things at the charity auction this time but looking forward to everything even if it is yet another trailer for Troll Bridge instead of the whole film...
