Congratulations jan.

I'm a bag of nerves. I look like this  all the time. Giant wasps keep appearing in the kitchen (from the sash window?), and today a gull flew into the dining room window. I nearly died! It was flipping loud! I didn't know what had happened at first, but a slightly dazed gull was wandering around the garden and then I saw an imprint on my window that looked like :angelic-whiteflying: but a bit more surprised. Then this evening, Mr Dotsie put a bit too much epoxy resin on the front door frame, and had to walk around the outside of the house so he could shoulder it in. Shoulder it in!!! It was so manly!!!

I'm living in interesting times.
What's up with this glass? Excuse me? Excuse me? This is my glass? I don't think so. My glass was full! And it was a bigger glass!

That will all pall into insignificance where the kiddie arrives Dotsie, it then might range between panic and near heart attacks for what they get up to in the normal run of things.

Hugs Dotsie! I would not deal with giant wasps well. And a gull running into your window on top of that was just unfair. And go Mr. Dotsie! :D Have a glass of wine - wishing you both boring times.

Wasps are never good.

When I visited Mum last year, she had wasps building a nest in between the outside bricks and the guttering of her french windows.
There was a small hole in the cement by one of the bricks, and they were flying into the wall cavity from outside.

It took my eldest sister to spray the nest and to hang up a paper fake wasp nest outside, and they haven't been back since.
Dotsie, I suggest you check to see if there is a gap by your window or a hole in the brickwork.

Just there are so few opportunities to use this one...

On a more practical note - with the weather turning more than tad wintry those wasps must be at the far end of their life expectations so should be easy enough to see off (they also get v. slow as temperatures drop so a lot easier to swat  )

Thanks all,
Mom actually had the surgery today. It was about a 6 hour ordeal. My brother is now convinced she is "not" human. :)

So, I'm assuming the surgery went well? Hope so! And hope she recovers quickly.

I am exhausted and achy and about to drag myself back to bed. Had to get up way too early to get Thing 1 ready for the horse show. Couldn't take her though, too sick. Hubby surprised us by getting home early yesterday! :D So he had a full night's sleep before I kicked him back into play this morning - he got stuck taking Ava to the show. He was a nervous wreck because he knows nothing about this stuff, but it will all work out.

Best wishes for your mum Con
Hope you get better soon Catch up
And Dotsie I wish I could offer some advice or something but I would probably just refuse to enter the house until the wasp thing was sorted

I am frustrated and confused... check the name. My doctor has been giving me tons of good news over and over. Many new doctors are on my horizon and I am scared.

Dotsie, all will be well. Just avoid the tornadoes we keep hearing about over here.

CatchUp, it will be ok <3
