Con, crossing my fingers that they accept the offer so as to save everyone the extra time and trouble.

Thanks,

Me too, those idiots have cost you enough time.

Saw this on facebook, and I had to smile.

After watching copious amounts of crime dramas I've come to the conclusion that serial killers only target women who wear matching bra and pantie sets.
Feeling much safer now.

The other half of the equation is that the victims are women in their 20's & 30's. Not cranky, middle-aged women so I'm feeling safer too. ;)

I managed to get Ava to her choir concert last night. When it was time to leave for the potluck dinner, I was feeling horrible and told the girls we weren't going to make it. I felt so guilty! But after we had dinner and relaxed a bit, I perked up a little. Just enough to get us there at nearly the last minute. The show was amazing! It was both the middle school and high school choirs. I'm always blown away by how well some of those kids can sing! By the end of the show, Vivi and I were leaning against each other in our seats, we were so worn out. We didn't get out of there until late. I'm so glad Ava didn't have to miss the performance. I am so over this stupid cold.

More a grimace really at having been someone's mum for exactly 25 years!
It got better though since the weather was so wet it wasn't too difficult to find an excuse to skive off work for the day, make gooey chocolate birthday cake, go for an aimless wander around a few shops together and finish off the day with a delicious Indian takeaway from a local place which has just won an award + free poppadums as a birthday treat + there's enough left for tomorrow....probably........ :D

Plenty of cake left!
Meeting a total stranger in Waterstones this afternoon and having an intense conversation for over an hour about profound issues without feeling in the least threatened has made me smile in wonder. I'm a very private person but never shun a friendly communication. This was cathartic :?

Leftover cake and a friendly stranger is a great day Janet! :D

Heard from the doctor's office this afternoon - Thing 2 does NOT have whooping cough! :D I knew it was a slim chance, but it was still good to have it confirmed.

Great news! :D
What's up with this glass? Excuse me? Excuse me? This is my glass? I don't think so. My glass was full! And it was a bigger glass!
