The book. I'm afraid I don't do manga. :D

If you do read one manga series, I suggest Monster. Think Silence of the Lambs meets The Fugitive. It's debatably the best manga series ever. Hell, even Guillermo del Toro is trying to do a live action TV version.
I've lived for over 2000 years, and not all of them were good ones. I've made many mistakes. And it's about time I did something about that.

Well, if you only made it to seven episodes, you've only done about the equivalent of two of the eighteen volumes. You learn fairly early on (in the 11th episode) what caused Johan to turn out the way he did...or you think you do. And you're missing out on the introduction of Wolfgang Grimmer, who is one of the more enjoyable characters of the series.

I only got back onto it recently because, long story short, I ordered the manga volumes through a bookshop, but volume 6 went out of print just as I ordered the damn thing, and I've been stuck with volumes 1-5 and 7, unable to go any further. Thankfully, the libraries at Brisbane have them, and after a couple of years' hiatus, I read the rest of the series in a big marathon.

It's...sheer brilliance, and I don't say that lightly.
I've lived for over 2000 years, and not all of them were good ones. I've made many mistakes. And it's about time I did something about that.

Finished The Witches of Chiswick. I think Robert Rankin will be a regular on my reading list, I really enjoyed it. I've started, Wilt in Nowhere by Tom Sharpe.

Now reading a couple of paranormal mysteries by Stuart Jaffe: Southern Bound (#1) and Southern Charm (#2). Not quite noir, but there's a rich family or two who control the small North Carolina town the heroes are in. They're good page-turners. I noticed some typos but not enough to spoil the books for me.
