Facebook Favour

Postby Bouncy Castle » Thu Aug 22, 2013 1:59 pm

A favour from one of you who is on Facebook, please.

I recently sent some stuff from their Amazon wishlist, to these people...

https://www.facebook.com/tinykittens

According to Amazon's tracking, it was "out for delivery" on 19th August, and that's the last information.

I emailed the seller, and they've just replied that Canada Post says the package was "delivered to the community
mailbox".

Could someone on Facebook contact the nice lady, Shelly, who runs Tinykittens, and ask if [cough] 2 bottles of Just for Cats Urine Destroyer  have been delivered.

I'd hate for it to go astray.

Bouncy, since I have absolutely no problems discussing cat urine with strangers, I've contacted tinykittens on your behalf. If and when I get a response I'll let you know.

Hi Janet! Oh, wow - thank your friend Jane so much for me! It has not yet arrived, but I will be on the lookout for it! Sometimes packages arrive very slowly in Canada. :)

Just checked and....thus was the reply.........yep....just as you thought,,,,same as Royal Mail

Thanks Janet.

Hmmmm. Methinks Canada Post is lying somewhere down the line.

Bouncy, the item I sent took ages once it got to Canada. It has to go through customs and seems to spend quite a while there.

Ahhhh. Shouldn't worry too much then, except I think the seller was actually in Canada!

One thing I soon discovered when in the US was how long it takes to get anything delivered. We've been spoiled in the UK and complain when something takes more than a couple of days to arrive. You have to remember that Canada and the US are vast places. Items sent by mail get sent to state depots and then diverted to county and local distribution centres even before they go out for delivery. It will get there, Bouncy - just be patient. ;)

I wouldn't mind, but Amazon tracking says it's out for delivery (and has been since 19th), but Canada Post says it has been delivered, yet she says she hasn't received it.

I'd be really hacked off if it went missing (like the £100,000 cheque we sent to our stockbrokers last week, which hasn't arrived in the Isle of Man!!).
