I'm more horrified to find that I'm not surprised by someone doing that to try and lose weight. I recently saw an advert on TV offering tummy stapling for people who found it hard to stick with more traditional forms of dieting.
The difference between fiction and reality? Fiction has to make sense.
Friede and I are not afraid of bugs at all, or of any other animal. We will be reasonably cautious with beasts of prey or animals that can apply poison, but that's just common sense.
If animals freaked us out in any way we would have freaked out many times meanwhile, since Alice and Dorothy, our kids, are very often out in the nearby forest and often bring interesting plants and animals with them. Once they even brought home a little fox which they discovered yelping in a lair. Its siblings were already dead. Something must have happened to the mother
Another time they brought home a frog that disappeared under a sofa and could not be found again. Weeks later we found it dead, dried-up and mummified under one sofa when we moved it to clean beneath it.
That's so true Jean! Anyone with kids or cats has no business being wussy about any life form on earth! When it comes to my personal space, I can live with anything which has 0-4 legs! Anything over 4 legs is politely ushered out of my living space! Tapeworms? Well Tony that's as good an argument for vegetarianism as any I've ever heard
Well. our kids don't care how many legs they have. Actually insects and arthropods are quite common among their little souvenirs. And once they brought a crossed viper with them! Since they have a lot of knowledge about biology meanwhile they fortunately recognized the snake though and knew how to handle it. We were nevertheless "not amused".
Just like Heroine was originally a cough medicine and pain killer - quite a good one at that, and you can also treat diarrhea with it. Newer drugs, however, are often nearly as good against toothache or coughs but have less side effects like being addictive or causing intoxication. Well, some might not consider intoxication a side effect by the desired effect.
On with their heads! I'm the clown prince of fools if you don't get the joke it's your loss Love and laughter you see are the new currency 'cause greed's coinage is not worth a toss
