I just clicked on the pic's properties and I would hazard a guess that it is the resizing setting. I find 640 x 480 for landscape to be about the right size for this forum (Tony's suggestion, incidentally).

Your 'old thing' still does an excellent job, btw. :D

Just realised i'm using the Picasa on my new computer,where i still have to personalise my upload-settings.
Ah well,considering i've all but switched over without pulling any of my hair out...still smiling! :D

I can't get butterflies or dragonflies either they seem to sense when I get the shot lined up
and chose to fly off just at that moment Image

I do wonder if carrying a vial of sugared water and putting a small drop on a flower would be effective 'bait' and keep them in place a while longer. :think:

At the range you're photographing the beastie, you would probably be better off using a higher shutter speed (or sport setting if you don't have the option) and a flash (even though it is light). :D
