I used to do a Spider Night every couple of years when I was a Beaver Scout leader and I usually managed to take one of those house spiders along with me. Some of the kids were initially bothered by it, but that was usually down to the reaction they had seen from adults. After a few minutes of seeing me letting the spider crawl over my hands, they all wanted to hold it. :D

At least you didn't have a soap stealing mouse in your bathroom like I did.

lol mice will eat anything when I was gardening my supervisor emptied the compost bin and disturbed a nest of them and they promptly moved into our shed/breakroom the one thing I can say about them that they are fast jumpy bastards and it took a week and one pack of bacon to kill them in the end

The damsel- and dragonflies are finally coming out in numbers here,so i thought i'd revive this thread with some recent shots 8-) :

Marvellous Mycroft. :D I always have a few problems trying to get those type of shots and normally end up failing spectacularly. :lol: Do you use a macro lens or just a zoom lens?

Thank you all!

@Penfold
All of these except for the last one were made with my Nikon D90/Nikkor 70-300mm VR(telezoom) combination.
With the fly i had to check the exif-data to confirm i did make that with my older Olympus E-420/Sigma 105mm f/2.8 EX DG Macro combination.
The Nikon has the big plus of the VR(Vibration reduction),but for close ups also has the disadvantage of having a far greater minimal focal distance.
I can get much closer with the Sigma,but otherwise the Nikkor does quite a good job.
And since i find lugging two cams around is taking it just a bit too far(for now at least :whistle: ;) ),i haven't used the Sigma outdoors for quite some time now(although the other advantage of that is the far lighter weight you have to carry around).
