Apparently they based it on a movie called Project X. They even had t-shirts made based on it.

I heard about that this morning. Terrible tragedy. Those firefighters work really hard to clear fire brakes all year round. I just hope this wasn't a deliberately started fire - or one carelessly started.

That makes sense - it's very hot there now and near the start of the monsoon season.

I was ready to give this one the "quackdocs" and "full of bollocks" award for the week....

But then I saw the name of the mother--and said, "Well, that makes perfect sense then." :P

What's up with this glass? Excuse me? Excuse me? This is my glass? I don't think so. My glass was full! And it was a bigger glass!

I'm with the cashier on this one. It's bloody rude to be on your mobile whilst dealing with someone else face to face.

It was never a problem for me on the Post Office counter as mobiles were still quite rare then. But My brother would just sit there and say: "that's ok, go ahead and make your call, I'll wait until you've finished". As he worked in a very busy office and lots of other customers were waiting, it was usually very successful. But I have to say I agree with the cashier on this one.

I've seen a lot of places with signs up saying no service while on a phone. It shows an extreme lack of respect on the persons behalf. Not surprised at the womans self righteous rant though.
