:P I'm planning to get in touch with my inner Van Quirm (it sounded too rude leaving the 'Van' out  ) costume wise, but as the housemate's Badge Name is Emmett Ogg Nanny's making another appearance... in the bar on a nightly basis naturally  I may also have to indulge my barbarian leanings a little although my diploma in welding may have to be brushed up a bit

Assuming tickets will still be available in late July / early August it'll be my first dw con, although I did go to dragoncon and a gencon in my uni RPG days. No idea what to do about costuming though, may have to find some good steam punk and gothic victoriana to read for inspiration, although may try for a Leonard of quirm costume, hmmmm.

If they do sell out Square there is always a waiting list, for some people pullout and sell their ticket as they can't make it after all.

Me too - have blown £500 on this already (metaphorically anyway) :o Bookings always tend to start to ease off after the 1st release but I think with this being a smaller hotel than usual people have been twitchy about getting their bookings in early so there's bound to be drop off soon I should think as I recognise a load of regular names in there and there's only so many die-hard convention fans after all.

Ridiculously excited already

Just checked DWCon in the first half of the day and now over 500 memberships sold, that will be half of the limit if we go by the last one before cutoff. :o

posted this on my phone so I've edited it.

Next thing you know there'll be whole forums dedicated to him.

I think with the Palace and and Holiday Inn Express there's going to be a combined room capacity similar to the Hilton - and there's tons of other places to stay in central Manchester that people on a tight budget can opt for, so perhaps they're going to allow more than the usual 1000 registrations (although that's the max capacity in the biggest event room at the Palace, so maybe that's the limit anyway?) :D

I remember them saying at one of the cons it came down to heath & safety regs and the amount of people in one place.

I doubt they will go beyond 1,000, last year was a bit less than 900 if I remember correctly. I also have my room at the Palace confirmed and may well go for a re-appearance of the vampire outfit as a frock coat and hat would fit a Victorian look although you can never go wrong with a wizard outfit and it was rather good to be worn only once.
One of those? Oh I'm sure I have one somewhere..
