Great map, but sadly millions of Terry Pratchett fans doesnt speak english so they probably never visited this site. Horever im suprised that there is no fans from some US states like Nebraska and North Dakota. Because USA is english speaking country and many people in USA have internet

Currently Madrid, Spain about 10mins walk from official centre, but as of July Broadstairs, Kent, uk
If you can fill the unforgiving minute,

Hello "Take". Nice to see another southerner (American, that is) on the forum. I know my profile says I'm in Southeast Iowa, but I'm a Texas transplant. (Funny how often the Brits call us Americans "Yanks" isn't it?)

Could be worse Jo the Cockney slang for an American is a septic as in septic tank = yank

Not all of us Brits call Americans "Yanks".

I've always found this definition by E.B. White funny though.

To foreigners, a Yankee is an American.
To Americans, a Yankee is a Northerner.
To Northerners, a Yankee is an Easterner.
To Easterners, a Yankee is a New Englander.
To New Englanders, a Yankee is a Vermonter.
And in Vermont, a Yankee is somebody who eats pie for breakfast

I've added you to the map - but let me know when you move and I'll change it. :)

The exchange about Yanks puts me in mind of something I read once.
The earliest brassieres on the market were fastened by a kind of snap or gripper rather than hooks. They came with instructions, which included the recommendation that the undergarment was "best removed by a quick yank". As the Great War was being waged, this wording developed an obvious double entendre, so the advertisers changed it to "by a quick jerk." No improvement!

That's a tricky one, Nomad. I've placed a pin in Tartu, but let me know how far I need to move it and in which direction. :?
