Agreeing here too. I know a very nice guy who is a carer. I'm sure it'll all be okay. :)

Noticed that the chicken I cooked for dinner wasn't exactly cooked all the way through, after I took my first bite. Now I'm wondering if I've possibly poisoned myself but won't know for sure for a few hours. Luckily no one else had taken a bite yet, so I could fix the problem before potentially poisoning my loved ones. I suspect sometime around midnight - 2am I'll know if this will need to be moved from the Minor Niggles thread to the Frustration thread. Of course if it does, it will have to wait until I return from my ER visit.

Well?

A bit of improperly cooked chicken probably won't do you any harm. Chances are that the heat will have killed off any nasty bacteria. But fingers crossed that I'm right.

If you got a good quality piece of chicken, it was still quite fresh, you stored it in the fridge, and didn't slow cook it, you should be OK. Not enough bacteria will have grown prior to cooking it for there to be the minimum infective dose (and of course the bacteria will have to be there in the first place, which they shouldn't be if it was bought from a reputable butcher). If it's improperly cooked though, the heat won't have been enough to kill all bacteria present. It's just not that likely that they're present.

Good luck! You should be fine :)

No hot curry on hand, so I nuked it. Didn't help the pieces that I'd already swallowed though. Derek was stuck at work late, when he got home he asked what I cooked and said it smelled really good. I told him it was chicken and in the fridge, but that he had to nuke it before eating it or he might die a horrible death in the middle of the night. For some reason he opted for something else for dinner.
