for the last eight or so years I've really have tried to own a copy of footnotes but they have grown extremely expensive so I've set my sights on on Blink but before I commit to buying it is there going to be a paperback edition released

I'd assume that eventually it will come out in paperback. You may have to wait a year, though. (It's usually one year between hardcover and paperback)

OMWF was a limited special release for a Sci-Fi Convention in the US. They did a reprint when the initial run sold out, but that was all.

Blink of the Screen is published by Doubleday/Transworld, who do all of Terry's books. It's not a limited release. They are completely different animals (although sharing about 60% DNA)

I hadn't heard of omwf could someone tell me if there are stories in it that do not appear in blink, if so is there anyway I can get hold of the stories just to read even if it is just a PDF version ( so long as it doesn't breach copyright) either way ill be buying blink when I get back to uk even if I have to get the hardback!

Once More With Footnotes was a special release for a US Convention (WorldCon?) where Terry was Guest of Honor (note: no u)
The first print run was very limited, and sold out quickly. They only did one more print run, hence its limited availability.

It has a collection of fiction /and/ articles written by Terry, so there is stuff in OMWF which isn't in Blink of the Screen, but it's only the non-fiction stuff. However, there's a collection of the non-fiction stuff coming out at the end of the year (Tap of the Keyboard? Can't remember the title) which will probably have all the articles from OMWF plus many more.

So... you can probably live without it :D
