Ravel's version of Scheherazade (as opposed to the Rimsky Korsakov version). :)

Nina Stemme singing Richard Strauss's "Four Last Songs. Although that's later in the album. She's actually singing the final scene from Strauss's 'Salome' at the moment. That's the great bit where she goes bonkers and sings to John The Baptist's severed head.

I've got that particular production on DVD. Personally I think Bryn Terfel overacts in that scene.

I'm listening to Preisner's Requiem for my Friend.

Here's the Lacrimosa. :)

I'm in a bit of a Yu-Gi-Oh! mood at the moment, so here's the full version of Kawaita Sakebi (A Yell of Thirst) by Field of View (Japanese, but with English lyrics in the video)...

...a fandub of the same song, over the titles of the original series of Yu-Gi-Oh!...

...and the song used as the theme for Yu-Gi-Oh! Abridged: Season Zero, which is Birdhouse In Your Soul by They Might Be Giants...

Have you seen the size of human brains? They're hilarious!

They Might Be Giants is one of Terry's favourite groups - hence "We're Certainly Dwarfs" in Soul Music. :D

I've always found that particular song an earworm - so I won't play it thank you.

I've often misheard the lyrics. When I first heard the song (as mentioned, I heard it as being part of the theme tune for Yu-Gi-Oh! Abridged: Season Zero, and the lyrics are oddly appropriate), I heard "make a little birdhouse in your soul" as "maybe a little bird has seen your soul". :|

I think, offhand, this is the first They Might Be Giants song I have really listened to.

Listening to a CD I found in a charity shop (£1) of pianist, Leif Ove Andsnes playing Grieg Lyric Pieces on Grieg's own piano at his villa in Troldhaugen. It's a little gem of a recording and one of the exciting things I love about charity shops. :D
