Well I have now listened to the whole album and absolutely loved it! :D

Believe me when I say I'm not just saying that - I love music too much.

Who is/are the composers? The only piece I recognise is the one called 'Tavern', which I think is based on a traditional Sea Shanty and really got my foot tapping.

But every track on there was lively, well played and memorable. I think I detected an Hungarian feel to the Strings in several of the tracks - are any of them based on Hungarian Folk tunes?

You have an excellent orchestra and have made a wonderful recording. Bravo!

:D Glad you liked it! The first song, Spring is based on a Hungarian folk song, but that's it :) Ani, our orchest leader and her partner, Robert, our pianist compose the songs. The motives are mostly from other cultures's music, or just pops out of their heads :D
Listen.

What about Tavern? That is definitely a traditional tune - possibly British. I've really got it stuck in my head by the way.

Just listened to the preview of Tavern on Amazon Tony, it reminds me very much of a bit of music from the film "The quiet man", more irish traditional.

Thank you! I've just looked up the tracks on IMDB and they are all traditional tunes. :)

I think the original tune for Tavern is the Galway Piper :D
