Not about me, but about my wife. She's worked for the past five years as a library assistant at the middle school in a neighboring town. She loves the job even though her pay stinks and her salary has barely risen by more than 0.5% per year since she got there. Her main problem has been the librarian, an evil witch who is nasty, condescending, and hypercritical to her since day one. This person is 33, single, and extremely frustrated with her own lack of a social life, and she takes out her frustration on other people, most notably my wife. The witch is supposed to do one thing--teach research classes--and she doesn't even do this. She spends her entire day shopping online, wandering around the school chatting with teachers, and taking hour-long breaks where no one knows where she is, forcing my wife to deal with 70 or more kids alone. The witch is nasty to other teachers as well, and has been the subject of many complaints. Essentially, my wife tries to avoid her at all costs.

My wife would come home in fear that she would lose her job (even though technically, the witch is not her supervisor), and often in tears at the way this person had treated her. Finally, yesterday she talked to the person in charge of student libraries for the town, who told her that she (the head of libraries) has told the witch to look for another job. The head librarian wants to fire the witch but it's extremely difficult to do so because the witch has tenure.

The head librarian confirmed that my wife is doing a great job and that she doesn't need to pay attention to anything the witch says, and to actually push back if she wants to, even encouraging it in the hope that the witch will leave on her own.

Good news! I hope they get rid of that woman. And, I agree. She's basically a bully. If your wife stands up to her (which I realize is easier to do now that she understands she's valued by the school) then that witch will back off.

Great news about the Witch, hopefully she'll fly off on her Broomstick and never be seen again, But i think that by now i would have gone to the School and complained to the Boss woman about her before now, but hope fully all well that ends well :D
