No, not some cool game or competition, sorry, I have a question to ask of any of you that may be familiar with modern art.
About a decade ago I brought my daughter to the Tate Modern, which she loved, and one painting really grabbed her attention. Today she asked me if I could remember who painted it. I can't. We both remember the painting, but not very accurately. I think it may have been of the abstract expressionism movement. I thought it might be Rothko, but I can't find it under anything Rothko-related.
I'll describe it as best I can, and maaaayyybe someone might know
A dark, bloody red cruciform shape, roughly painted, possibly with some black or maroon or dark purple in it, against a possibly white or grey background. That's all, it was stark. Definitely abstract. Famous artist.
If any of you are in the vicinity of the Tate Modern sometime, maybe you could see if you can find it
In the beginning there was nothing, and then it exploded.
