There was some good stuff in those videos!

I liked the Marlin Lee one! I saw Gretchen here a few tears ago. TBH, I didn't care much. I'm not a country fan and I mostly went for wifey. :)

Tony's comment on Steeleye Span on another thread reminded me of this group that I've not listened to for a while; The Imagined Village. I believe Martin and Eliza Carthy, as well as a few others from Steeleye Span, were instrumental in setting up this project of getting the UK's diverse ethnic groups involved with British Folk music. The line up, outside the core group, remains very fluid but I think the results are great.

was listening to an interview By The Reveal of Grant Wilson from the sy-fy show Ghost Hunters. mentioned he and his wife had a band, Carpetshark, so been listening to that. not bad. some of the songs are iffy, but some are pretty good.

Cor! That was great!! :D

I remember watching the episode it was based on. Bizarrely, it featured a skyscraper car park that a helicopter crashed into causing the thing to collapse. The reason I remember it so well was because I had been watching it on TV just a few hours before the news of 9-11. :?

I found it in a charity shop for 50p then looked it up on youtube to put it here. There are 4 more apparently which are more independent stories including things that would be impossible in the puppet series such as a motorcycle chase between Captains Scarlet and Black. These need to be found, youtube isn't the same as putting the original record on ;)

Never heard of BÖC before? Astronomy (also covered by MetallicA in 1999/2000 and Don't fear the reaper (also by HIM) are their best known songs and you hear them on the radio now and then.

Now, that John Butler Trio song was a nice one!

You might want to broaden your horizon. To each their own favourite music (for me it's metal in nearly all variants), but to dismiss all modern music is a bit hard on the musicians, isn't it.
Granted, I don't like most stuff they're playing on the radio these days and prefer a good oldie to about 90% of what they play on channels for modern music. But there're still some gems to be found.

Now listening to:
Amorphis - Tuonela
