It was very warm and sunny yesterday - rain forecast for the rest of the week though.

Yay! They're back from the seaside, thinking about nesting and spring must be on the way.
AND they have to be the same 5 who were around all last summer :D :D

What made me smile is the class of History of International Relations I had this evening, we were talking about the cold war, which is not a funny subject of course, but our teacher managed to make us smile anyway with these videos:

Short summary of the USSR in Russian, with subs.. :D

And a summary of the cold war...

Catchy, the last one... :D
Listen.

Very good Mc, however the reference to Thalidomide in the Billy Joel song is probably one verse too early. Yes it was in use in 1958 but problems weren't associated with it until 1959 and it didn't peak as a recognisable problem until 1960/1. I know it was suggested to my mother as a drug she should take when initially pregnant with me at the end of 1961. Nit picking at one fact I know to be wrong suggests others may be placed in sequence incorrectly.

Love the history of the USSR though
One of those? Oh I'm sure I have one somewhere..

Met one of my closest friends for a day out yesterday. :D Haven't seen him since Christmas. We always wait too long to do these things.

I made my biggest commission ever on one sale today; and I booked my timeshare in Las Vegas for May! :)

We're also planning a few days in San Diego to do the zoo etc.

Hey jaznbonnie, any chance we can connect??

Went to the middle school choir concert last night. Ava did a great job! :D What really made me smile was finding the right setting on the camera to get good pictures of her onstage. Although, while I had a clear view of every other child's face, the child in front of Ava was partially blocking her face most of the time. I swear that happens every time, no matter where I choose to sit. Still got some good shots though. And, this is going to sound terrible, but it also made me smile that it was short!
