@Alanz: So sorry to hear that, I know what it's like.
@Batty: Beautiful words. I could not agree more.

Gosh. I thought we were having a crappy couple of months with the amount of household appliances dying on us and all the other stuff that needed replacing, fixing or just chucking. It seemed like a conspiracy.
"Quick, let's all quit on them." The toaster is next. 'But I don't wanna. The fridge is up next'.
I can just imagine them talking to each other. But you know, I do not hear any other voices so I'm good.

Oh! In that case, I think we're going to need a new gas boiler(old-age), new gutters(leakage), new bath(more leakage), a truckload of dental repair(breakage), a new interior door(non-existage), new windows(mouldage).......

I'll see your repairs and raise you a renovation. In which I'd better end up with a dishwasher ;)

The electricians came round on saturday and left a load of holes in my walls :( But, I now have a re-wired house :) Now I just need new walls.
What's up with this glass? Excuse me? Excuse me? This is my glass? I don't think so. My glass was full! And it was a bigger glass!

I found cat food in one of my running shoes this morning. What the hell?

 I thought of that one Tony! The more I think about it, the less likely it seems that the cat put it there. Probably one of the girls spilled some while they were filling the bowl.
