Yay. My sister and her partner have a stall confirmed at the South Downs Wood Fair at Queen Elizabeth Country Park in Hampshire, 13-14 July.

I visited last year and it is a wonderful event - 2 huge fields full of everything wood related, from crafts to chainsaw carvings to forestry displays with heavy horses. Two days of heaven, and the chance to sell their wares and some of my woody stuff as well.... can't wait!!

We have some Chainsaw Art here in cleethorpes 3 are Owls sited on old Trees that have had the top cut off, they are sighted on the side of the Main road in 3 different sites in Cleethorpes, they were certainly a talking point when you first see them as they look so realistic.

I love chainsaw carving. When I was working in forestry/tree surgery, I used to do some basic stuff - stools, tables, benches, birdhouses and mushrooms mainly. Now I don't really have a ready supply of wood to chainsaw, so I stick to smaller carving and wood burning
