I passed a house today where they had turned all the snow into a scene from a Peanuts comic- a snow Charlie Brown, snow Snooopy on his dog house and a snow Schroeder at his snow-piano. I wish I had a decent cell phone camera to share it with you all.

My happy news isn't from today but from last Saturday
a friend at work told me about a anime con at the NIA that was on next month
and she asked me if I wanted to go with her and her family
sadly I had to turn her down cause even though I could afford to buy the tickets and travel
I couldn't afford anything else so I'll save up and tag along with them next time

Remember me posting about an exam in organic chemistry? Finally got the results and I passed. Must've been a hard one because out of 33 people, only 7 passed.

I'm happy now and must be off to my next exam, which should go well.

Great News CB

Oooh, Oooh, I met someone famous, but I didn't know he was famous. I met Jimmy Buffet right after his Big Margaritaville hit and being on the cover of the Rolling Stone. He was bumming around the Caribbean, getting his head right after all the Hollywood treatment. I did not realize it until years later. I thought he was an angel sent to help me stay sane. Pretty soon I began to "find" music books lying about, and an American teacher/musician came to the weekly campfire where I played and we sang John Denver, and Christian music. He told the director what nuts they had all been for not letting me play and for shunning me for it.

The best I can do is the fact that I once almost ran Bruce Forsyth of the road . he was in a golfing cart and I was in a transit van.

No ....... I have met someone else fairly famous. Karen & I met the whole of the band Marillion (after Fish left). D had just had a major op and we had not seen the outside world for a while (what with hospitals, appointments etc) My sister arranged for us to go to Minehead where there was a Marrillion convention. She contacted the band and got permission for my Mum & Dad to attend (without paying for the tickets to get on to the site). They were then able to look after D in the evening whilst we went to the gig.
Marillion did a signing session, and my sister had also made up some babygro for D with Marillion album covers printed on. We took a spare one of these and went along to the signing with D asleep in our arms. The band signed the babygro . Then in an article I read a few months later, they were asked what the strangest thing they had ever been ask to sign and they said 'a baby'. I always like to think that was us, although maybe they had been asked to sign a baby as well

Aldi? At least in Germany Aldi has far less issues with quality than Lidl. I get all my horse meat there.

No really, I hear rather good things about Aldi than bad things. The worst I heard was that they're driving a hard bargain with their suppliers.
