Raisin, love the light expedition!

Mad, I'm the opposite, love the snow, could do without the cold.

The girls scored another day off school today. It warmed up and rained like crazy all night. Turned the back roads into ice rinks and the buses can't get down them safely.

Awww, man! NOW you tell me! This is one of the best ideas ever. Definitely going to do this. We've got at least two months of this crap to try it out. Only thing though it that if you filled a balloon up, the expansion of the water to ice would probably pop the balloon--but wold it do it before the thing completely froze?

Worth trying anyway!

Those balloon thingys are fantastic! Can't wait to try them out with the little one. As soon as a lot of the snow melts here. I ended up with 28 inches of the stuff.

You could use the snow as melt water for the balloons, saves water bills!

Looked out the window at a rare phenomenon this morning blue sky and a big orange globe, chilly wind but nice to be out walking in, probably going to be zero temp. tonight.

I remember doing that as a kid in NH. Back when snow shovels were a frill... we used solid, heavy coal shovels.
