A lot of flooding in Queensland at the moment. Some pictures of my town, Rockhampton. Taken in the last day or so. I didn't take the pics.

Looking out from my neighbourhood. I'm grateful I live on a hill.

Looking Eastward across the Southern end. The long strip is the airport.

Bit of a puddle eh? Compared to other towns through, we got off lightly.

(((((Sister Jen))))) Glad you are safe and sound...and while that might not be as bad as some other towns it looks like more than enough to have to deal with. I hope the clean up around town goes well and that there is not too much heartbreak involved.

Does the land sort of reach up and try to grab you by the ... erm, bits? I too am glad you live on a hill.

Was going to complain that in February 'round here was being a bit jerky, first down below 0 farenheit, then up to 50, And down to 10 below, and up to 59 with two days of rain, right into 1/2 day of ice and then plunging below just enough to freeze the roads then an hour later 3 inches of snow. Winter should be vaguely stable, not all higgledy-piggledy like a Po-Go Stick.

I will stick with this, you have massive fires, massive smoke, massive water and BUGS, SNAKES, SPIDERS, DEADLY KOALA'S (ask Del), KILLER CROCS, JELLYFISH and lord only knows what else. I would be scared to visit.

Today strong winds which made the rain sting your face it was quite painful, mixed with snow at times and tonight it snowed.
