Lego Star Wars and Clone Wars anyone?

My two boys still love Lego,although during the last few years they have changed more to collectors than players.They have been collecting a lot of the figures,but also the space ships and have a nice 'crew' set up.Now they are hankering for the Millenium Falcon (here 135 Eur currently) and the Malevolance (90 Eur).They wanted to buy them new,not over ebay,as they have made bad experiences with missing bricks or only half the weapons.

As this is a lot of pocket money and I seem to recall the odd forumite with Lego leanings,I thought I'd ask around.
Has anybody got an idea where I could get these for less? Does anyone have other old Lego Star Wars stuff in the cellar waiting to be dusted off and brought back to life?
I'd be grateful for any ideas!

The Millenium Falcon looks so cool!

We did have a Lego collector here at one time, but I think he sold his DW collection and ditched us.

Ava is a huge Lego fan! The best I can usually do is finding something on sale at one of the big chain stores. Otherwise, I order it directly from the Lego site, where you usually don't get any discounts. But, you can become a VIP member for free and earn points towards future purchases. Sorry that I don't have any better suggestions.

Broc, I had a thought that might be completely wrong, but as you live in Germany and as Denmark, the home of Lego is just next door, is it possibly any cheaper from there?

My (nearly) 8yo girl is a massive Star Wars and Lego fan. For her birthday last year she got the M. Falcon. It was a fun dad-daughter bonding moment...er few hours to build it together. I think it was about US$115.

What you might try doing is having someone purchase it in the US and repackaging it to send. The plastic weighs little and without the bulky box (which is mainly for advertising the contents) shipping should be...well, not horrible at least.

Although in truth you'd only be saving about 20€.

Alternatively you could write to George Lucas and ask him to waive his portion of the price - at $7.3B, I think he's got enough money.

I've got the Millenium Falcon. It is rather awesome! (and an X Wing, AT-AT and Republic troop carrier (from Clone Wars) and Anakins Jedi Interceptor (Still boxed, will do it in a few weeks))

I should imagine Amazon is your best bet other than going to LEGOland in Denmark as suggested.

I got myself a Millenium Falcon last year, awesome and huge! took hours to put together but worth the money.
Found mine a bit cheaper in Smyths toy shop was £90 ish

Anything Lego here is massively expensive. I once dated a man who had a deep dark secret. He built models for Lego. He was worried women would think he was strange. I thought it was soooooo cool and was looking forward to the day I would... yanno ... go to see his Lego. No I mean really!

Unfortunately... it didn't last. He was a bit ... strange.

We have a Lego Millenium Falcon. I was not involved in any stage of the assembly process. It's nice to look at though.

I also think the ships are very cool.We have the Desert Skiff,the Tie Fighter,the Mandalorian,several smaller ones and several of the little planets....Did I just say we?
Lego shops are not cheaper.We have one in Cologne.The boys also went to the Lego Con in Cologne this year but alas,lots of cool ideas but not any cheaper either.The only good thing is that you can get single figures you normally can't get single and bits and pieces,like weapons,which you can't buy extra normally either.
I guess they will have to carry on saving up!!
