The flood barriers are back up in Ironbridge and part of the town is underwater, last heard that 35 houses have been evacuated. The flood management team said at about 2pm that it should peak this evening providing we get no more rain. Its been hammering down ever since The river is really deep and fast, I'm OK as I'm too high up to be affected directly but I really feel for my fellow residents further down the hill.

Mid 50's today and yesterday. All of the snow and ice melted and you didn't even need a jacket to go out yesterday. Tomorrow it's supposed to drop 30 degrees and we'll be back to winter temps. For how long, I don't know.

The river level has fallen a bit today but it is going to rise again tonight. Christine interviewed in this clip runs the card shop about 50 yards from me. My shop is beyond and down the hill from the road closed sign which does rather impact who comes to visit

The water has risen about 2 feet in the last 3 hours. Oh well you cannot stop it but I hope it doesn't get much higher

So the flood barriers come and go? Can't they put up higher ones if they know it will be high?

Our flooding usually happens in summer so wet and sodden in a hot climate has its drawbacks... the smell here is putrid when the water goes down... but it would be a nightmare being wet and cold in YOUR winters. Hope it ends soon.
