I LOL'd at that before I clicked on the link, because my mind immediately went to the Tibetans in Good Omens!

Disgusting doesn't cut it. Sod their stupid right to bear arms - what about that little lad's right to have a life free from fear of some random nutter deciding everyone he's pissed at has to be obliterated? :angry-screaming:

Okay, I hate pro-gun fanatics as much as anyone. However, the story is distorted. If you watch the full video you see that the father wasn't 'heckled,' i.e interrupted and insulted. He asked a question aloud about why people should be able to own such weapons, and the NRA types responded, obviously not knowing that this was a rhetorical question. The NRA types were complete stupid fools, for sure, but the media were jerks as well for selective editing.

She's an incredible lady who Sharlene and I met a few years back, before the shooting. It's kind of sad to see how much different she is now compared to the articulate, friendly and positive person she was then. But at least she survived and can go on fighting like this.

It did cross my mind (such as it is!) that, if someone pulled out one of those assault rifles they were talking about at the meeting, and threatened the audience, how many of the NRA-type people would pull out a gun of their own, and how many would fall to the floor terrified.

and how many people would be mown down in the ensuing shoot out for the sake of applying a little common sense :angry-banghead:

Sure - have the right to bear arms to defend yourself if it's really that big a deal - just so long as your expectations doesn't include a small banana republic with John Rambo threatening to descend on it FFS...
