Kitten's " operation instruction" wanted :)

Postby Natalya » Wed Jan 30, 2013 8:22 am

Have a nice day, all! :)
I’m in a slightly difficult situation now. My Big Foreign Boss (very Big!) want to take small Russian kitten (not breed “Russian Blue” , but only breed “British” from Russia!).
Sometimes my cat Yuosha bring me some kittens, that’s why I keep “Operating instructions for new Britain kitten” in Russian (for future kittens owners). This are pieces of texts which I took from Internet's articles about this theme. For example: about feeding, toys, toilet, upbringing, vaccinations, relations with other home animals and little children…etc
I took only texts which contain correct and checked information.
But Big Foreign Boss need instruction in English. Honestly, Translating this Big Document (about 9 pages) into English will too difficult for me and take too much time! :(
I know that many of you have got cat(s) and perhaps yours cats delivered kittens to you . That’s why I think that anybody have got the same “Operating instructions for kitten” in English. Could you please give me such information or reference(s) to such information in Internet?
Pay attention, please, information should be definitely correct and checked. Otherwise our boss can spoil his new kitten. :(
Best regards! :)

Good luck with this Natalya! Sadly I don't know enough about cats or kittens to be much help.

But I have to say that if your boss is taking on the responsibility of being owned by a cat, he should take the responsibility of finding out about them himself. ;) That's how everyone else does it.

Dogs have owners, cats have staff.
Some are born great, some achieve greatness and some have greatness thrust upon them.

The rest of us are a bit crap.

Natalya,I think Tony is right. There are lots of informations to be had in English online about cat servitude :D
and I think your boss should have a look around himself as it's his cat.Besides,I wouldn't worry too much about him spoiling the kitten.Cats are prespoiled! :D
His vet is also sure to be able to supply him with any information he cannot find online.
It´s still magic even if you know how it´s done.

Yes, quite right!
But ... only some 'staff-owners' know it ;)

Tony and Broccolee, I completely agree with you. But I can't imagine how I'll say BB: "Could You try to find it without assistance?" :)
In general, BB didn't ask me about kitten, but his woman-colleague (boss, too - not BB) asked me, who's known me (and my kittens-cat) for years . I think she can't find information because I know about cats a much more than she....

Anyway , I worrying about kitten :). He's been already choosen (not by me!). He was born on 22/11/2012. His mother is not my cat, but our club's cat who was choose by me. According to gossip, he look like grey fur ball now, so cute...! :)

Welll...

If there is none - never mind it!" (с)

Anyway, it was nice talking with you :).

I will Google it for you Nat. And YouTube is always good. Just have to get on my computer and not this smart phone.

Or you can Google in Russian and use "translate to English" maybe.

Will get back to you.

Just had a quick look myself and this site looks like it has some reasonable suggestions;

That looks brilliant Penners. About as much as BB needs to know Nat.

And he could ask his friends too.... after all there are a few billion cat lovers on the planet.

Hi, Del :) Glad to see you! :)
Yes, google is always with us, quite right :), Not YouTube because I have to give BB printed text with kitten.
But important thing in this case: I'm not good in English . For my (my cat's, of course! :)) kittens I prepared information very attentively, I read text some times before give with kitten. Unfortunatelly, Internet not always give correct information. In Russian I can anyway check it, but in English... it's not easy (shame on me, shame! :( ). That's why I asked you recommendations to this information.
About "translate to English"... Del, I tried "Translate to Russian"English texts some times. It was awful! Translating any text via google (or any other one ) is the reason of many jokes among russian people and I think this is true for English people, too! :) Of course, some sentences it translate correct, but... I'm sure, "some" is not enough for such delicate things as "kitten + BB!" :)
Ah..you maybe reckon "she is lazy!" . Honestly-honestly, I'm not lazy! I'm only very worring...

Penfold, thank you very much for this! This text is easy for me: I think I'll be able to read&check it before "giving with kitten".
Thank you once again! :)

Ok, I've already learned articles according the reference and full satisfied! :)
Besides, I found some interesting new things (in part "communication").
And, of course, I added some "precious advices" from me to BB :)
Great Thanks for all, the theme can be closed :)
Best regards! :)

No problems Natalya, I hope the boss enjoys his new owner. Of course, you could also buy him a copy of 'The Unadulterated Cat' by a certain well known author. ;) :D

Yes, I've already read it (in Russian). Then I bought some copies and presented it to my friends-with-cats :) Very funny and truthful book! :). Thank you for good idea! :)
