Morning all, My name is Darren and I've been collecting Discworld books etc since I was at uni, X years ago :?

Around the time 'Once more with footnotes' was published I tried to complete the collection of all PTerrys writtings, I know it was around that time as I have a copy and I didn't pay the current £500 asking price (Does anyone actually ever buy them for that price??)

Nice to meet you all

D

Hello and welcome Dazmundo/Darren! I hope you are making yourself at home here :)

It sounds like you are much more advanced with your collection than I am, which is probably just as well as my daughter has a habit of wandering out in to the garden with my books and leaving them out in the rain!

Hellooo and welcome Darren. :D

Regarding "Once More.....", I can't speak for other people but I can't see myself ever paying £500 for a book despite my love of Discworld. The closest I ever came to something similar was buying an original first edition book by Alastair Crowley which was around the £100 mark in a second hand shop (no idea if that was good value or not). Unfortunately, by the time I got the money together it had been sold. :(

Thanks for the welcome back Tony and Penners, this is a busy time planning the summer stock and getting it ordered, thank goodness I don't have any customers due to the snow
